Clamping plates are used to attach the mover to the chassis. In most cases a set consists of a lower clamp plate, an upper clamp plate and an u-bracket. The securing takes place without any adjustments to the chassis, otherwise the approval would be canceled.

A stop block is mounted to the chassis against the clamping plates and has as it's function in prefenting shifts. Should this happen anyway, the mover has to be adjusted again and the stop block has to be mounted again. If the chassis has been given a smooth section by the stop block, you can flip the stop block so that it is pointing down.


Service and Warranty


CaravanMoverShop specializes in caravan movers. We also provide maintenance and repairs, even if you didn’t buy the mover from us. Our mechanics are mobile and are able to provide help on location.
We carry out maintenance and service for all brands. We follow a standard protocol which helps us to find and solve a malfunction fast. When you visit us we first check whether the mover is fitted correctly and if the battery is working properly. Then we will fix the problem. By using this systematic approach we are able to find the underlying problem and solve it.
We attach great importance to a good warranty and look carefully at the warranty conditions when formulating our advice. The warranty conditions and the way in which they are handled may differ per brand and model.

The movers that we sell and install, such as Reich, Truma and AL-KO, generally come with a 5-year warranty. Apart from our guarantee, you can also claim the guarantee from the manufacturer and its European network service. With Reich you are entitled to a guarantee of 5 years, with AL-KO and Truma 2 years. If you decide to assemble the mover yourself, the warranty is 2 years, but under certain conditions this warranty can be extended to 5 years (only at CaravanMoverShop!). The warranty period on the Go2 mover is limited to 2 years and you are not entitled to use the Truma service network.


Maintenance


For proper operation of the mover it is necessary that it is well-maintained. You can do a part yourself. Clean your mover after each use and follow our advice on charging the battery. Don’t forget to get the batteries out of the remote control handset in winter. It is advisable to have the mover maintained every two years. We offer a check-up and maintenance service at a fixed price.



Warranty : When the mover is supplied and installed by us


If you have bought the mover from us and have it installed by us and there is a valid warranty claim, you will be assisted free of charge at our workshops. If desired, we can come to your home, but we can charge costs for this. User errors will be charged.


Warranty: Procedure if the mover was bought at us, but you have fitted the mover yourselves


If you have bought the mover from us, but have installed it yourself, we will first check whether the mover has been mounted correctly. Any assembly errors will be repaired and costs will be charged for this. If it appears that an installation error is the cause of the malfunction, we can logically not submit a warranty claim. Experience has shown that most warranty claims are caused by an assembly error. You have significantly less chance of malfunctions if you have the mover mounted by us. Of course, if there is a justified claim, the defect will be resolved under warranty.


Warranty: In the case you didn't buy the mover from us


If you have bought the mover elsewhere, we will first check whether the mover has been mounted correctly. Any assembly errors will be repaired and costs will be charged for this. If it turns out that an installation error is the cause of the malfunction, you cannot make a claim under the warranty. Experience has shown that most warranty claims are caused by an assembly error. You have significantly less chance of malfunctions if you have the mover mounted by us. Of course, if there is a valid claim, the defect will be resolved under warranty. If possible, we declare the labor costs to the manufacturer, depending on their warranty conditions.


Warranty: After the warranty periode


We can also repair your mover outside the warranty. We have almost all parts in stock and will repair the mover as soon as possible. The cost of labor is 80 euros per hour and the cost of installed parts will be passed on. Because we have almost all parts in stock, we can often repair your caravan mover in the short term.

Spare parts


If you have damage, or if there are problems after the warranty period, the brands PowrMover, Reich, Truma, and AL-KO offer an almost complete range of spare parts. So, if you have a small problem after the warranty period, you don't have to buy a whole new mover. You can often solve the problem with a separately ordered spare part. The spare parts of most movers are guaranteed available for 10 years. In addition, we have the most extensive range spare parts used and new in stock.

Spare Parts: Diagnosis

If you have a problem with a mover, we can help. The diagnosis costs 45 euros (up to a maximum of half an hour).

We work through a protocol to quickly determine the cause of the problem. If you bought the mover from us, we may be able to assist you remotely. If you bought the mover elsewhere, we only offer paid service.

You can have a lead (acid) battery do a CCA test at a garage or at our workshop. Then you have an indication whether the battery still achieves its values ​​and therefore supplies enough power for the mover.

We can help you in the following ways:

-To make an appointment, it is best to email us with a description of the problem and your type of shunting aid.

- Diagnosis takes place in Groningen or Lelystad.

- With some mover models we can perform diagnosis and repair at home. The call-out costs are 80 euros. We request that you send photos and provide information in advance.

- You can send the control box and remote control so that we can check it. You also pay the transport costs incurred by us.

You need to disassemble the old part first, if you don't disassemble it, you can't see it well and you won't order the right product.

If there are multiple versions, you cannot purchase a newer version. Unless we point this out with an alternative product.

For example, if it says < 2013, then it is not suitable for models from after 2013. If it says > 2012, it is not suitable for products from before 2012.

Sometimes it says SN: xx, then it stands for a specific range of serial numbers. You should then look up the serial number on your mover and see if it falls within the range. For example, if it says 01xxx, your serial number must start with 01. When there stands < 30 your serialnumber must be lower then 30.

The mover manufacturers work with item numbers. These are not the part numbers you will see on an engine or part, nor PCB Numbers or other numbers you will find somewhere on the product. You have

Spare parts: How do I repair the mover?

We do not answer questions about how to dismantle a mover, how long does it take etc. This varies per mover and caravan and depends on the condition of the mover. If you want to carry out the repair yourself, you have to think logically. Get to work and if you really come across something we can help you after purchasing the part. But realistically, someone who has started the job doesn't need any help. Screws loose, tighten.

 

Spare parts: I would like the product to be smaller than you offer

We only sell what is on the website. You see a motor with a gearbox and want a special gearbox that we don't have separately on the website. Then you can't order it. The reason for this is simple, the product is available no smaller than advertised. This can be due to security reasons, compatibility or the manufacturer's greed for money. We can't make it smaller than offered.

 

Spare parts: what is a used product?

Used is used, not overhauled and not repaired. This makes sense since it was used. Used means someone used it. We source these products and resell them. We cannot provide a history. We assess the product for function and condition and then decide whether to offer the product with a 1 year warranty. We cannot give any further information. We can and will only point out that this is a used product.

We do not photograph the used product. Finally, if you wait a while to order and someone else orders it, you will not receive what was in the photo. The scratch really was on the left and now on the right... But be realistic. A used product has scratches, signs of wear and has clearly been used. We set the limit for damage that affects user comfort. A round hexagon is not salable. A remote control held together with duct tape...not for sale. We've never had any complaints about the state of use, so our standard is good enough. You have to rely on it or buy new. And we are very simple, a return is always possible, you pay any paypal and transport costs.

 

Spare parts: What is an alternative product?

In some situations, an alternative product will be listed with the product. This is another product recommended by the manufacturer, or in some cases by us. If a product is no longer available, an alternative is a solution to the problem. We cannot make it smaller than offered.

 

Spare parts: how many pieces do I get?

Some products say (2 pieces), then 2 pieces will be delivered. If it says (4 pieces), 4 pieces will be delivered. If there is nothing, 1 piece will be delivered. So it's pretty simple, if it says (2 pieces) you'll get 2 copies. You will then not get 4 copies.

Also as written: estimated shipping times. At UPS there are working humans, it sounds weird, but it is true. The shipping times can be different. When you are outside the European Union, the package has to? pass the Customs. This can take time.

 

Order: Is the product in stock?

If on the website stands: it's in stock, it's in stock, if on the website stands: it's out of stock, it's out of stock. The most up-to-date inventory information is posted on our website for each product. This information is reliable and up-to-date. You can only add something to the shopping cart if there is at least 1 physical product on stock.

Order:What is the delivery time?

We usually ship with UPS. Delivery times are short. You can push the order button and read the expected deliverytime to a random city in your country. ?Delivery up to +/- 600 km from the Netherlands takes 1 day. Up to 1200 km 2 days and more than 1200 km 3 days. Deliveries are made on working days only.

If you are not at home, the carrier cannot deliver it. It will then either be offered again or you will have to pick it up at a UPS Access Point. When you are outside the EU the delivery time is one day more. When you are over 3000km from the Netherlands, the shipment will be by plane and that is quicker.

We advise you to read your email, you will see the tracking number. If you click on the link you will see all the information you need. We cannot speed up the transport process. If it's urgent, you have to pick it up in Groningen.

UPS is a professional and of course expensive carrier. Delivery takes place on working days. Business days are Monday to Friday and not Saturday and Sunday. Holidays are not business days. Public holidays depend on the country or region.

 

Order: How can I order a product.

You can order a product by simply pressing Order. You will then see the transport costs directly. Then go to step 2 where you have to fill in your name and address. Please write down your place/village/city in the Place field, and not e.g. a federal state or Germany.

 

Diagnosis, how fast do we really work?

We will process your shipment as quickly as possible and diagnose you as quickly as possible. However, it always takes time. The average processing time is 4 working days. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. We think that's fine.

In our opinion, the following account is completely logical and therefore superfluous. Unfortunately, it happens again and again that people feel they have to wait and then make unrealistic demands. If you need it urgently, we recommend that you make an appointment and come to Groningen. If you decide to send it in, it just takes time. We will process your shipment as soon as possible. When we receive the package, you will likely see it received on your tracking number. It's not like we'll process your package right away. We do not confirm receipts. Depending on your carrier you have received a tracking number. As interesting as this information is for you, it is of no use. And it just takes a lot of time. We believe this time should be better spent testing products and providing content-related information.

 

We will process your shipment as quickly as possible, but this may take some time. It really is virtually impossible to lay down all of our work for your package. If it is urgent, you should make an appointment to visit Groningen. The feeling of waiting is annoying, but it takes time.

 

Invoice

You can download your invoice via the order overview. You need to go to the order summary and click on the invoice.

The invoices are approved by the manufacturers for warranty claims. The invoices meet all legal requirements from the Value Added Tax Act. We cannot change descriptions on invoices.

 

Return costs

We offer the parts of the movers as a service. Something is always wrongly ordered. This is usually due to carelessness. Don't bother to compare the picture of the motor with the finished product... or a remote control has been found again.

 

We believe it is fair for the cost of incorrect orders to be passed on to the incorrectly ordered customer. This means that shipping costs incurred when returning parts will be deducted from the refund.

Hoi Gebrand even een een berichtje vanaf het Paterswoldsemeer. Ik heb de mover gemonteerd met de handleiding in de hand was het inderdaad een fluitje van een cent. Wat niet in de handleiding stond dat je de volgende dag niet meer op of neer kon bewegen. (Geintje) Maar nogmaals het ging goed en wat niet vaak bij anderen gebeurt alle onderdelen waren aanwezig de bevestigingen voor de kabeltjes zelfs overvloedig. Wij zijn blij dat we hiervoor gekozen hebben en het zal zich in juni moeten bewijzen maar we zijn niet bevreesd. Groetjes aan je vrouw en de Kids. Gré en Jan.

Beste Jorg Bedankt voor je berichtje waarin je nieuwsgierig was naar mijn ervaring met de mover. Ik ben er tot nu toe zeer tevreden over alles werkt prima. Ik ben nu erg benieuwd naar de overwinterings toestand van de batterij die je hebt geleverd. Ik hoop dat het flink gaat vriezen deze winter want dat zou deze accu zonder schade moeten overleven. En als er in de lente nog genoeg power in zit om de caravan te moven dan ben ik helemaal tevreden. Bijna dan want op mijn opmerking dat de bijgeleverde accuklemmen niet geschikt waren voor de kabels die met de mover waren meegeleverd heb ik geen reactie gehad. En daar zullen toch meer mensen mee worstelen. (Reactie Onderhoudslader: dat klopt daarom leveren wij nu de accuklemmen met montage instructies). Maar goed leuk dat je zoveel movers hebt omgezet en ook dat je zo enthousiast ben om er een leuk bedrijf van te maken. De nazorg naar de klanten doet het goed. Ik wens je nog heel veel succes en je weet nooit maar als ik in de buurt kom dan zoek ik je op. hartelijke groeten van Adrie

Beste Jorg Zoals we (niet) hebben afgesproken houd ik je even op de hoogte van mijn ervaringen bij de montage van de mover. Gisteren heb ik de mover onder de caravan gehangen en afgesteld. Daar kwam het eerste probleem de afstand van de rollers tot de band (20 mm de maat van het houtje) is veel te kort voor de brede banden met 4.6 bar druk van de caravan. Maar de skirts gaven niet meer ruimte om verder van de band weg te schuiven dus zou er gezaagd moeten worden. Ik had eerst het idee dat het spannen van de veer de hoeveelheid te leveren kracht zou bepalen maar het is het indrukken van de rol in de band waar de kracht voor nodig is. Aangezien ik het zagen in de skirts zonde vond heb ik een soort blokkering bedacht waardoor het terug schuiven van de rol in de vrijstand niet volledig is en de skirts net vrij blijven. Ik dacht eigenlijk zou de fabrikant zo n instelbare eindstop moeten maken er zullen meer mensen met dit probleem zitten. Het volgende probleem was de bekabeling. De geleverde prima accuklemmen hadden een kabelbevestiging met een maat die veel groter was dan de maat van de meegeleverde accukabel. De kern van deze draad had een diameter van 5 mm en voor accuklem zou een veel dikkere kabel van 8 mm diameter nodig zijn. Ik heb nog geprobeerd om een krimpbus te kopen om die om de draadkern te krimpen maar ben daar niet in geslaagd. Ik heb de boel opgelost door de het losse klemstukje om te draaien zodat het nu hol in hol zit i.p.v. bol op bol. Vandaag werd de koppelstang bezorgd en begreep ik ook waar de boutjes voor waren die ik had over gehouden. Het heeft me toch wel wat tijd gekost om de stuurkast en de hoofdschakelaar te plaatsen maar alles is uiteindelijk gelukt en het werkt. De afstandsbediening werkt ook zowel binnen als buiten de caravan maar ik vroeg mij af waar het resetgaatje zit want in de engelstalige beschrijving wordt gesproken over een meegeleverde kunstof prikker die je voor het resetten moet gebruiken. Ik heb geen prikker gezien. Ook snap ik niet waar de telefoonplug in de handbediening gestoken moet worden in de stuurkast zit die plek wel ik heb de bediening via het meegeleverde noodkabeltje dus niet kunnen proberen. Nog bedankt voor de goede nazorg en misschien zien we elkaar nog eens het zou leuk wezen. En als je vragen hebt ik weet er nu alles van bijna. Hartelijke groeten Adrie
